Apple Black Friday Sale?

Fingers crossed, but it looks like Apple will be having a Black Friday sale that extends past just The U.S., as it already started in Australia (time zones have their benefits for sneak peaks!).

If you’re wondering how low will Apple price selected products on its special Black Friday shopping event, you need look no further than Apple’s Australian online store, where the event has already begun.  Most discounts are around 10%. You can get a MacBook Pro for $1,328 Australian instead of $1,449; an iPod nano will set you back A$ 184 instead of A$ 199, and you can save A$ 51 on an iPad, which now starts from A$ 578.  It’s reasonable to expect similar discounts in other Apple stores around the world, so if you’re interested in slightly cheaper Apple gadgetry, you can do the math now and prepare your credit cards for later!  Get online just past midnight to check it out!

Shopapalooza Burlington Highlights!

The 2nd annual Shopapalooza took place last night in support of the Burlington Art Centre, and it was quite the night of fun and fashion for all the (mostly) ladies in attendance!  Kudos to the few men who attended, not to mention all the hot firefighters!  The fashion shows were definitely the best part, with great dresses for the holidays featured from the likes of Joelle's, Savvy Couture and new kid on the block Doll Haus.  There's definitely no shortage of sexy evening wear in Btown, that's for sure.  Hope to see you all next year!

Shopapalooza Burlington!

Wednesday night, November 17th, its the 2nd annual Shopapalooza in Burlington!  Tickets are $10 and in support of the Burlington Art Centre.  It's at their location at 1333 Lakeshore Rd starting at 5pm and enjoy shopping, fashion shows, demonstrations, food and drink sampling, door prizes and more!   Joelle's and Glamjulz will be there - do you need another reason?  Get inspired, get some Christmas shopping done, and enjoy a great girls night out!  See you there!

Movember Monday in Burlington!

Guys need a night on the town too, so what better way to accomplish that than to attend a rocking Movember event at SB Prime on Monday, November 29th and raise money for prostate cancer research!   There's a hockey simulator, guitar hero and interactive gaming, live music, trivia and prizes, food by SB Prime (yum) and a fashion show for both men and women!   Bring your best moustache, and come as a group of guys, come as a couple, come as a group of girls - whatever!  The point is, just come!  Tickets available at SB Prime on Brant Street (just a few doors north of Lakeshore) for $60 but they're only $50 if you buy them today (before Nov 16).

Just a little freebie to start your week off right - head to McDonald's now through November 28th and get a FREE small coffee!  If you want more, order a bigger size and they'll simply charge you the difference, which means a giant large coffee for 42 cents.  You really can't beat that.  Also, fyi, their coffee is GOOD, and once you have a coffee where the flip back portion of the lid actually WORKS and stays put, you'll never go anywhere else!  Happy Monday :)

Great idea to help make your home festive and pretty for the holidays AND more energy-efficient: bring in your old incandescent holiday lights to any Home Depot in Ontario this weekend (Nov 13-14) and get 50% off the purchase of up to 5 new strings of energy-efficient LED lights with in-store coupon.
