I love this idea, and it's super easy to do, and makes a great gift for any gal in your life (including yourself)! Grab some of your favourite ribbon (I suggest double-face satin ribbon which you can get inexpensively at Michael's craft stores, or exotic luxury ribbon at Mokuba in Toronto) and grab some chain link (plain metal from Home Depot is easy and inexpensive, or you can buy real silver chain by the inch on the web at sites like Inch of Gold Canada!).  Then just weave your lovely ribbon through the chain and you have a beautiful and colourful necklace!

I love this site, because it sells SO much more than books!  I wish it had the insane variety that the U.S. site has, but for now I'm still impressed at all the great deals you can find on Amazon.ca.  I always buy books there since they have some of the best prices anywhere, plus free shipping on any order over $35, but what really impressed me is how great their deals are on electronics like laptops and notebooks (I bought mine and really enjoyed the lowest price around plus the free shipping right to my door!).  I just noticed they also now have a section on watches - Movado, ESQ, Tag Heuer - and a zillion home decor products like bedding, garden furniture, lighting, and more!

Love this.  Tired of wanting to wear your favourite jeans with heels sometimes, flats other times, but having to choose one way or the other when you decide "to hem, or not to hem?".  Here's your solution - Style Snaps!  These handy little attachments let you hem, and unhem, whenever you like with the clicks of a few snaps!  Great for jeans, pants, skirts, or anything else you need to hem without a sewing machine, or without being permanent!  And much more durable than that sticky hemming tape that doesn't always last all day.  Wish I'd thought of this myself!

Vanity Fair's Best Dressed List 2010

Some pretty excellent choices in 2010's Best Dressed List by the authority on such matters: Vanity Fair.  The Men's category is populated by such stellar (and gorgeous) names as Javier Bardem (lover of Gucci and Prada) and Alec Baldwin (black Rolex + Tom Ford Tuxedos).  The Women on the list are definitely A-Listers, like Diane Kruger, Tory Burch, Georgina Chapman (who doesn't love everything by Marchesa?) and my personal favourite: Michelle Obama.  New to the Hall of Fame - Mr. David Beckham.  Can't say I mind looking at him, so it's hard to disagree.  An interesting FYI this year - no less than 4 of the top men's picks cited Steve McQueen as their fashion idol!  Long live Bullitt and the king of the car chase!
