What's Open & Closed on Canada Day Weekend

Happy Canada Day Weekend!  Don't you LOVE summer long weekends?  Especially when it's sunny & beautiful out.  We are really lucking out with the weather the past few months.

So you need some supplies for your weekend festivities, yes?  Wine, beer, groceries, new shoes to go with your new shorts (yeah, that's me).  Here's your list of What's Open and What's Closed on Canada Day Weekend!



WHAT IS OPEN SUNDAY, JULY 1st: 

• LCBO and Beer Stores will be open.
• Most Grocery Stores (like Fortinos) will be open.
• Most Malls are open (Eaton Centre, Vaughan Mills, Yorkdale, Square One, etc...)
• Government offices and banks are closed (most would be anyway - it's a Sunday, after all)
• Attractions like Wonderland, The Toronto Zoo, The ROM, etc... are all open! 

WHAT IS OPEN MONDAY, JULY 2nd: 

• LCBO and Beer Stores will be closed.
• Most Grocery Stores (like Fortinos) will be closed.
• Malls like Toronto Eaton Centre, Vaughan Mills & Square One are open 
• Less Tourist-Driven Malls like Mapleview in Burlington and Yorkdale are closed.
• Most Libraries will be closed along with banks and Government offices.
• Attractions like Wonderland, The Toronto Zoo, The ROM, etc... are all open again - enjoy!

Tory Burch now ships to Canada

Incase you can't make it to the new Tory Burch store in Yorkdale Mall, you can now get shipping direct from Tory online!

The Tory Burch website now ships to both Canada and Australia via DHL Global Mail and DHL Express.  Too bad duties and taxes still apply as always, but at least you can get what you need, in the size you need it in, without having to go across the border.


I'm already coveting everything in the Pre-Fall Lookbook.  Fall is my favourite fashion season every year!  The one bright spot to the end of summer.  Shirt dresses, classic sheaths, boots, jackets, and don't even get me started on this bag...which also comes in pink.  So fab.

Best Self Tanner - ever!

It's true.  I tried it myself and it totally lives up to the hype.  It doesn't streak, it looks totally natural, it is practically scentless, and I won't be spending another summer (or winter vacation) without it!  The St. Tropez line of self tanning products are absolutely the best!  I guess sometimes all the celebrity hype in magazine after magazine is actually legit.  If you don't have the time or patience to sit in the sun (and damage your aging skin, I might add) then pop over to Sephora and grab some St. Tropez!  I am very fair and I've been using the medium-dark Gradual Tan Everyday Body moisturizer and it is so awesome I just had to rave about it to you all.  Oh, and it dries lickety split and doesn't come off on my clothes.  Perfection?  I think so!  Bring on the bikinis!
