There are a TON of fashionable nominees this year, so from the red carpet to the stage, you can expect a feast for the eyes.
Here's who to watch:
1. Robin Wright. Notice it is no longer Robin Wright PENN. You know she's going to look spectacular as is the mandate for any recent divorcee.
My prediction is that Sean Penn will be seething with regret when he spots her on the red carpet looking as gorgeous and ethereal as she did in The Princess Bride. Even without that Timotei hair. God, I miss those commercials. What ever happened to that shampoo?
2. Kerry Washington. She didn't get named the World's Best Dressed Woman by People Magazine this month for nothing. I predict a cutting edge gown that you'll either love or hate, but memorable nonetheless.
3. Jon Hamm. Incase you've been living under a rock, I'll let you know that Jon prefers to go commando at all times. There's a whole website dedicated to his free-wheelin' ways. So when you're checking him out on the red carpet, you know where to look for some extra visual impact. Just saying.
4. Christina Hendricks. I love seeing how this gorgeous woman accentuates her many positives. She is truly the queen of great cleavage. Of course if one commentator says the word "voluptuous" or "full figured" I may snap.
Also, get ready to cry during the In Memoriam section when they show the faces of late greats who left us far before their time like James Gandolfini and Cory Monteith :(
Is your next question "What channel are the Emmy Awards on?" Well, the formal awards start Sunday night around 8pm (eastern time) on CBS and you know those red carpet peeps from E! will be trying to fill 2 hours of airtime on the red carpet with inane questions like "Who are you most excited to meet tonight" starting at 6pm. I prefer to watch it on mute. Just me?
